Katie's book, A Simple Seed teaches children and adults how to show gratitude in their daily lives through a morning journaling routine. Granby Public Schools will be closed today, Friday March 22nd due to a power outage.

Kelly Lane and Wells Road students will dismiss at 10:15am from the Wells Road campus.
The GMMS Salmon Brook Ecology Center was in the spotlight last night for the Granby BOE. GMMS Science teacher, Ann Buckley and students did an excellent job explaining the ecology center and the amazing learning that takes place. Students are highly engaged and hands-on with hydroponics and raising trout from eggs to mature size for release to our local streams.

I had a great time reading all of the argumentative essays from our students' in Mrs. Janssen's class and visiting today to share if the convinced me to keep or ban chocolate milk from our school cafeteria. Spoiler alert- I love chocolate milk!

Granby Memorial High School was the BOE's school in the spotlight on Wednesday, February 21, 2024. Students engaged the Board in mathematical problem solving on vertical nonpermanent surfaces to demonstrate this new instructional strategy. We were challenged and highly engaged!


On Wednesday, February 21st the Granby Board of Education recognized Catherine Erasmus for her commitment to GMHS College Connection Program. Thank you Catherine for all the ways you support our students and the Granby community.

Gabriela de los Reyes, a senior at Granby Memorial High School, was recognized by the Granby Board of Education on December 20th for her excellence in languages. Gabi is tri-lingual and has earned the seal of biliteracy in both French and Spanish. Congrats to Gabi!

Nick Halsted, grade 5 student at Wells Road School was recognized last night by our BOE for his outstanding design for the Granby Public Schools Holiday Card. Congrats to Nick!

A wonderful Veterans Day today for students at both Kelly Lane School and Wells Road School. So grateful for our veterans' service to our country and appreciative that they shared today with our students to assist us in teaching the meaning of the day.
