Granby Public Schools hosted a Back to School BBQ for families participating in the Open Choice Program on Monday, August 18, 2025. The event provided a wonderful opportunity for staff to connect with students who are new to this program. A few returning students also joined the fun to provide mentorship to the new students.
These new Granby Public School students and their families were thrilled to meet their principal and other District staff at the Wilson-Gray YMCA in Hartford. Everyone enjoyed a warm and welcoming dinner and great conversation. The event fostered a strong sense of community that extends beyond the classroom. A special shoutout to Bethany Grupp, Family Engagement Specialist, who coordinated this event. We are excited for the school year ahead.
