1-TO-1 COMPUTING PROGRAM

All students in grades 3-10 are assigned a Google Chromebook notebook computer for use in school and at home. Students in grades K-3 are assigned iPads. Families  receive a communication over the summer which includes a device sign out form. The form must be completed by parents and returned to school in order for students to receive a device. Students are assigned devices to be use for a period of 3-4 years prior to it being replaced by the district. The Chromebook computer is valued at $250. iPads are valued at $350. The device is the property of the school district. Just as with textbooks and other school-owned property assigned to students, parents and students will be held responsible for vandalism, theft, lost and/or excessive damage to the device beyond the normal warranty which includes accidental damage coverage. It is up to parents to decide whether or not to purchase 3rd party device insurance.
