Wells Road students participated in a STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art and math) day on Thursday. Third and fourth graders were given paper plates and scissors. The challenge was to create the longest continuous strip by cutting the paper plate. Did you know that a cut paper plate could stretch out to be longer than 30 feet? The fifth grade classes created paper airplanes. Their challenge was to create a plane that soared the farthest. Some planes traveled down the hill and all the way to the soccer nets!
