Open Choice & Public School Choices including Magnet and Vocational Schools

Granby's participation in Open Choice dates back to the inception of Project Concern in the late 1960's As a result of its continued partnership with Open Choice, Granby is the beneficiary of monies that support a number of programs within the school district. While some of these funds are used to provide academic and financial support to students from Hartford, the majority of the funds are used to enhance opportunities for all students in the Granby Public Schools.

Granby students have long benefited from programs offered by Public School Choice in Connecticut. Students have attended the Greater Hartford Academy of Mathematics and Science, Suffield High Schools Regional Agricultural Center, Oliver Wolcott Technical School, the Greater Hartford Academy of the Arts, and the Great Path Academy at Manchester Community College among others.
